At the core of the kit are 100% maple shells, known for their warm tone, rich resonance, and powerful projection. The toms and snare feature 6-ply, 5 mm shells, while the bass drum uses an 8-ply, 7 mm shell for deeper low-end punch and stability. TAMA’s Star-Mount System suspends the toms at four points on the hoop, allowing the shells to vibrate more freely for increased sustain and clarity. The kit also incorporates low-mass lugs and triple-flanged hoops, which help maximize shell resonance while maintaining excellent tuning stability.
Designed with performance and flexibility in mind, the CL72RSP-CLP includes Power Craft II drumheads for great sound straight out of the box. The bass drum features die-cast claw hooks with rubber lining that protect the wood hoops and help maintain tuning during long performances.
