Developed using the same design principles as TAMA’s flagship Iron Cobra 900 series, the 200 series delivers smooth pedal action and strong attack while remaining accessible to a wide range of players.
At the heart of the pedal is the Power Glide cam, an offset cam system that increases power and acceleration toward the end of the pedal stroke. This design provides greater speed and impact without sacrificing smoothness, making it ideal for fast double-kick patterns and energetic playing styles. The pedal uses a single-chain drive system, ensuring durability and responsive feel while maintaining lightweight operation.
The HP200PTW also includes several adjustment features to suit different playing preferences. The beater angle adjustment system allows drummers to set the optimal strike angle for consistent kick drum hits, while the Spring Tight tension adjustment prevents the spring from twisting and maintains smooth pedal motion.
