The drum shells are constructed from 6-ply poplar wood, a material widely used in drum manufacturing for its warm tone, balanced attack, and consistent resonance. TAMA’s precision bearing edges improve the shell’s vibration and tuning stability, allowing the drums to produce a clear, responsive sound across various musical styles including rock, pop, jazz, and R&B.
